We are Okol Group Smart Integration, a boutique firm specialized in design and commissioning of smart home infrastructure and systems. We provide clients with adequate and personalized home automation solutions that are aesthetically attractive, simple, cost-effective, future-proof, and energy efficient.

We are members of the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA), the Building Industry Consulting Service International (Bicsi), and The Fiber Optic Association (FOA). We partner and hold certifications from Lutron Electronics, Ubiquiti Networks, Sonance, Savant, Sonos, Panasonic, Nest, and eero, allowing us to build innovative custom solutions and provide top-notch technical support. In addition, we put increased focus on residential network infrastructure as the main pylon of a connected home, adhering to strict telecom industry standards and guidelines:

  • ANSI/TIA-568-D: Commercial Building Telecommunications Cabling Standard

  • ANSI/TIA-570-D: Residential Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard

  • 802.11x: IEEE specifications for wireless LAN (Wi-Fi/WLAN)

  • USGBC LEED: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for sustainable building construction & operation

  • NEC/NFPA 70: Regionally adoptable standard for safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment

What is Bicsi?

Bicsi stands for Building Industry Consulting Service International. According to their website, “Bicsi provides information, education and knowledge assessment for individuals and companies in the ITS industry. We serve more than 23,000 ITS professionals, including designers, installers and technicians. These individuals provide the fundamental infrastructure for telecommunications, audio/video, life safety and automation systems. Through courses, conferences, publications and professional registration programs, BICSI staff and volunteers assist ITS professionals in delivering critical products and services, and offer opportunities for continual improvement and enhanced professional stature.”

In other words, Bicsi helps define the educational standard for IT professionals to learn information technology systems. Cabling contractors, electrical engineers, manufacturers, system integrators and other IT professionals join Bicsi to enhance their knowledge and skills.

FOA stands for Fiber Optic Association. According to their website, "The FOA is an international non-profit educational organization that is chartered to promote professionalism in fiber optics through education, certification and standards. Founded in 1995 by a dozen prominent fiber optics trainers and industry personnel as a professional society for fiber optics and a source of independent certification, the FOA has grown to now being involved in numerous activities to educate the world about fiber optics and train the workers who design, build and operate the world's fiber optic networks."
